Crickets sang on the terraces, and the leathery wings of large bats pursued the darts of big fireflies and tiny flying lizards. A breeze sang softly over the features of the statues.

Inside Logan's place everything was quiet save for the soft conversation of a few nocturnal patrons, including the Mayor and his wife, who held court in a large corner booth.

Then a huge form stepped through the teleportal and stopped in confusion, his dark eyes scanning the area as his wings flexed. Pointed ears poked from his mane of dark hair as his purple face creased into an uneasy frown.
