The thing about being on the road is you never knew where you'd end up. As it so happened, Dean and Sam were staying at a nearby motel and Dean wanted a drink in a major way. It had been a long day. Sam decided to stay behind and read and so Dean set out on his own. He left the Impala behind as it was just a short walk and a well lit night.

Dean walked into the cantina, ordered a beer and settled on a seat off near a corner. He sat down, leaning back in his chair and took a nice long cool drink.

Duck, roll, armed hand striking right, left, then finish up with a kick to keep the body from falling on you. James knew this simulation by heart.

Three enemies coming from the back, roll to the side, knife throught one chest, grab the gun, take out the other two, then get ready because the tank grunt's coming. He turned, wiped the sweat out of his eyes, then launched himself forward, beheading the bazooka carrier before he'd even aimed his weapon properly.

Simulation complete, cue the room returning to the silver training platform, the glass dome appearing above, full of young recruits staring in aw. James didn't even look at them as the door opened and a soldier tossed him a towel. He started to mop off his face, sticking the knife in its sheath on his black cargo pants, looking forward to getting out of his boots and changing the wifebeater he wore, which was soaked with sweat.

Walking through he wiped his face, glowering. "We gotta get somethin' new in that simulation level, everything's outta date," he said, lowering the towel just as he walked straight into a table. Caught by surprise he grunted, then stopped and looked down. This wasn't the base.

Slowly he lowered the towel and looked around. A civilian establishment, and not a simulation. Too many scents. James frowned and looked around, testing the air to figure out what was going on.
