A commanding, shadowy figure swept through the teleportal, then turned to look at the two who had accompanied her, a strangely human voice coming from her frightening mask.

"Where do you want to sit?"

"You chase away anybody that can help you, but you won't do the job yourself." Her voice was icy with contempt.

"Then get out of the way of the people who do. People are dying while you sit there and feel sorry for yourself."

"No. You need to go hole up in your little safe world where Brucie is the martyr and where nobody else understands him." Her voice was cutting as she got to her feet. "I nearly died to protect Gotham. And I've lost a lot more than just the use of my legs. You're a gutless, useless coward."

Shoulders straight with fury, she turned and stalked away toward her children.
