Spencer wandered into the cafe carrying gifts. He looks a little pale, with dark shadows under his eyes, but a bit better thanks to having told Mara. "Uh Miss Logan?" he called softly "I've brought you all some christmas presents".

"She's upstairs with Jabez. Ain't really up ta visitors," says Dog, walking over. "I'll bring 'em up fer ya, if y' want."

"Thanks, I couldn't face stairs" he smiled softly, "It's nothing special just a little you know token" he glanced around a moment "I might have a little sit down"

"Go ahead. One'a the gal's'll bring y' somethin'." The big man takes the presents and strides toward the stairs.

"Thank you" he said softly going and taking a seat, resting his head down with a yawn

"Hey, Spenc, you alright?" Jubal frowns over from where he's sitting and enjoying a chocolate milkshake.

He looked up "Hmm? Oh yes thank you I'm just tired and sore" he sighed "I, I've been having a bad year ended with- You know what best leave you to enjoy christmas"

The former Herald of Galactus' frown deepens as he gets up and walks over to Spencer's table. "Spill it, dude."

He sighed "I was kidnapped tortured developed a drug addiction, got help to get over it, during a check up they realised I'm not well, Cancer" he sighed.

Jubal is silent for a moment, then slurps his shake and says, "Want me to fix it?"

"Fix it?" he asked "What the whole year? Or the Cancer?"

"The cancer. I don't do reality changes." He crosses his eyes to look into the shake, then blows bubbles.

"Really? and you would?" he asked watching

"How'd Mara take the news?" Jubal looks at him seriously.

"Better than I'd hoped. But.... she said she'd stick by me but, she shouldn't really have to but, I don't know. She's trying to be strong"

Jubal shakes his head. "She's got two babies to take care of. And a lot of scars from the last guy."

"I figure the upside is I cant work like this. time off to be with her....."

Another head shake. "That's not how it works."

"I know, but look on the upside right?"

"Dude, when you've been through what Mara has there isn't any upside to your husband being sick." He sets down the milk shake and flops into the seat across from Spencer. "So, you want that fix?"

"I know, I don't mean it like that I just mean......" he sighed "It don't matter what I meant, what I do mean is fixing is good. Although, I should warn mara? tell her first?"

-Now you're thinking,- thinks Jubal to himself. Aloud he says, "Good idea."

He was trying not to think, if he thought he was sure it would end badly "Well I promised to go back to her after here"

Jubal nods and picks up his shake again. "See you later."

"Thank you" he said softly with a nod

"I haven't done anything yet."

"Mind at easeness"

"Ah." He nods, then gets to his feet and goes to meet someone who just came in.

Spencer got up to go out to talk to Mara.
