Finding time for a day out...

Blues and Kalinka have been meaning to check this place out for quite a while now. It was surprising how often something could keep coming up when you have a pair of twins to watch. Not to mention all the other things both parents tend to meddle in.

But they're here now, with little Mikhail and Ciel. And without any other guards or chaperones.

"True. I have enough relatives that can do one or both of those," Blues says.

Mikhail looks around for something to take apart. Ciel grabs herself a handful of eggs, messily.

The furry brown waitress brings over an intricate baby toy of wooden blocks, heavy cord, and a jingle and sets it on the table, then turns and heads for the bar.

The redhead nods. "Oh, I'm Rachel Creed. This is my husband Vic."

Now that gets Mikhail's attention. He decides to start with finding out what happens when you pull on the cord.

"I am Kalinka Cossack," Kalli says. "This is Blues, and the twins are Mikhail and Ciel."

Ciel holds up the stress worm again and babbles as if saying not to forget about it.

The toy changes shape.

"Pleased to meet you." Rachel smiles, then looks at Ciel. "Is that your friend?"

Oh, he likes that! Mikhail tries to see if he can make it go back to the way it was before.

"Ah!" Ciel says, nodding. It's an easy guess she means 'yes'. She then gives the blue caterpillarish thing another kiss and a piece of toast.
