Finding time for a day out...

Blues and Kalinka have been meaning to check this place out for quite a while now. It was surprising how often something could keep coming up when you have a pair of twins to watch. Not to mention all the other things both parents tend to meddle in.

But they're here now, with little Mikhail and Ciel. And without any other guards or chaperones.

The redhead nods. "All the time. There's usually a kitten and a few more tribbles in the pile. And maybe a couple winglizards."

"That sounds adorable."

"Yeah." Rachel's smile fades and she turns away from the cute sight.

"Hey," rumbles Vic, looking up with concern. "Wanna go home?"

"I... think. Yeah."

The big man looks toward Kalli as he gets to his feet and gently pulls his wife from the booth. "Sorry. Was nice talkin' t' you. Maybe we'll see ya again."

Kalinka really hopes it wasn't something she said. She nods and manages a smile. "It was nice talking to you also."

The twins have fallen asleep. Rather than disturb Ciel, Blues and Kalli will stick around for a while longer and finish off breakfast. Then they'll see about heading home.
