The thing about being on the road is you never knew where you'd end up. As it so happened, Dean and Sam were staying at a nearby motel and Dean wanted a drink in a major way. It had been a long day. Sam decided to stay behind and read and so Dean set out on his own. He left the Impala behind as it was just a short walk and a well lit night.

Dean walked into the cantina, ordered a beer and settled on a seat off near a corner. He sat down, leaning back in his chair and took a nice long cool drink.

"Well just to unwind really, but the lady Sam also said I might bump into you one day. Sure enough somehow I ended up right where you are."

Dean thinks a second and apologizes. "Look, really sorry if i'm being a little.. weird or whatever. I just never thought I'd see another version of my dad after we lost him."

"Don't worry about it," says John softly. "I've been around other Deans who've lost their fathers. I understand."

Dean was a little relieved that John wasn't offended by his being a little wigged out.

"So what do you do now?" he asks, unable to remember if the female Sam had told him very much about John.

"I hunt. Help Cassie with the kids."

-Play father to other Winchesters' orphans,- he adds to himself as he has a sip of his coffee.

"Who's Cassie?" he asks unsure if he had asked already. Wow Dean was full of questions.
