Long overdue...

Spider's missed this place... but sometimes absences just can't be helped. Stuff comes up, things happen... stubborn kids want to go out to lunch armed like they're going to raid the place...

They'd all needed some adjustment time.

But here he is, after about four months. And unlike most times, this time he's not alone. He usually picks a nice seat where he can see the view and orders the same grilled strawberry cream sandwich and hot cocoa... but this time he'll look around for a spot with enough room to accommodate the seven kids with him.

"Pickled and dried sea plum," says the quieter of the two older clones as he takes his little belt knife and cuts the piece into bits enough for all the children and then offers them around. "Pickled in a bran bed and then dried in the sun where the salt air can touch it."

If they try it, they'll find it to be very tangy and flavourful. Also, needing much chewing.

The force sensitive twin girls don't sense any danger, and are therefore willing to give the unfamiliar food a try. The young Commandos also have no hesitation, since, well, it's food. And Seth is certainly curious enough.

Which means the conversation there soon goes silent as they're all busy trying to chew the stuff.

Spider's just been watching. They're good kids, no matter how much of a fuss Dynamo makes about the idea of having them along on the ship. And no matter how much his uncles tease that he's still one short of a proper set of eight...

Something else happens to cross his mind and he chuckles. "I'm probably leaving all kinds of ripples... not that I'm gonna let that stop me."
