A tall, muscular man clad in sport jacket and jeans walked into the cantina, then stopped and looked around as he recognized the place and remembered when he'd been here last.

-Four years,- he thought, pondering going back home for a moment before shrugging and walking over to a booth. -This is as good a place to work as any.-

One hand went up to absently rub the big purple bruise on the side of his face; souvenir of his last encounter with a door frame. Then he seated himself and asked the furry waitress for a coffee before immersing himself in his work.

Elisa looked down as well and blinked in surprise, spotting some of the statues and such far below.

"Whoah. I had no idea we were this high up."

Well, the statues aren't actually below...

Goliath's eyes make out the details of the one across from them and blink, then blink again. "There were winged beings sitting on the arms. Massive wings...."

"Big wings?" Elisa asked. "But still mostly human-shaped...? Or something else?"

"Mighty wings," he nodded absently. "I was amazed at the span... and they flew. And yes, we saw one clearly. They were humanoid."

"Huh. I think I might have met one of them recently."

He looked at her questioningly.

"It's... complicated, but the long and short of it is that I got some help from a few other-universers when helping another friend of mine. One of them looked pretty much like what you were describing."

His brows lifted slightly. "Do you know what they are? Are they Gargoyles?"

"You know, I didn't actually get a name, but no... they're definitely not Gargoyles."
