Here again
A tall, muscular man clad in sport jacket and jeans walked into the cantina, then stopped and looked around as he recognized the place and remembered when he'd been here last.
-Four years,- he thought, pondering going back home for a moment before shrugging and walking over to a booth. -This is as good a place to work as any.-
One hand went up to absently rub the big purple bruise on the side of his face; souvenir of his last encounter with a door frame. Then he seated himself and asked the furry waitress for a coffee before immersing himself in his work.

He shrugged and looked across the open space again, frowning into the great statue's serene eyes. "And dead now."
There was finality in his voice. It was clear that he didn't see 'Franklin' as the same being as his former enemy.

"Franklin, eh?" she settled on saying. "Interesting choice of name."

Hey, lizards snore.

"Not a bad name, all together."

The lizard stopped snoring and opened one eye to look up at her quizzically.

She gave the lizard another shake. "C'mon, scat."
And, slightly more serious. "Never gave a lot of thought to baby names," she said after a moment. "Because it's still such a far off thing. Doesn't mean I haven't thought about it, of course. I've often thought about Manhattan as a name. Naming one of the first Gargoyle kids to be born there after the city itself."

The kitten went into his jacket pocket, and he prepared to use both hands in attempt to dislodge the small invader.
