Old Bones, New Resolve

Old Pika moves about the room, slowly but surely. She purrs thunderously as she walks, keeping the tribbles and small children out of harm's way, trying to be useful for once. Her age is making it difficult, but she's determined.

- Come off there, little one, - she smiles and untangles baby Pika from some thread, nudging her gently as she gets up and runs off.

"Chase?" that gets an eyebrow quirk out of him.

Pika took the moment to nibble gently on the fingers and lick them.

She nodded to where he and Jubal were playing 'Trouble' with Ben and Isha.

"Well knock me down with a stick," he said, watching him closely.

"His older twin's married t' one 'o my Jubeses." She picked Pika up and kissed her on the forehead, then pointed to wear Sadie was sleeping on the window seat and told the baby cat to go snuggle the honey smelling girl.

Pika blinked, then nodded and ambled off comically before jumping up and snuggling the girl.

"Huh. Chase married. Cameron's going to be disappointed.

"One I knew was after you." She accepted the second bottle of water from Jana with a grin of thanks and turned back to him.

"Oh. Yeah," he nodded, chuckling.

"'N that other James that comes in here sez one hit on him once 'cause she thought 'e was her guy." She shook her head.
