Old Bones, New Resolve

Old Pika moves about the room, slowly but surely. She purrs thunderously as she walks, keeping the tribbles and small children out of harm's way, trying to be useful for once. Her age is making it difficult, but she's determined.

- Come off there, little one, - she smiles and untangles baby Pika from some thread, nudging her gently as she gets up and runs off.

House also munched away quietly, watching her out of the corner of his eye.

She was aware of his regard, just as she was aware of the rest of her surroundings. Her nostrils flared slightly over each scent, and her eyes flicked toward sounds every once in awhile. She was only tiny and pretty... but the soul that showed in those large brown eyes was a thing of wild beauty.

"Would you like to go to dinner with me sometime?" he asked.
