Old Bones, New Resolve

Old Pika moves about the room, slowly but surely. She purrs thunderously as she walks, keeping the tribbles and small children out of harm's way, trying to be useful for once. Her age is making it difficult, but she's determined.

- Come off there, little one, - she smiles and untangles baby Pika from some thread, nudging her gently as she gets up and runs off.

She frowned slightly and looked away, thinking that she needed a hug and wondering absently where her hugging kids were.

He frowned. That didn't work.

"A boquet of flowers?" he asked.

"Eh?" She hugged herself unconsciously.

"Would you rather that be a prize? Or something else?" he asked.

"Sure, darlin'." She walked around the table to give him a quick hug, then headed toward the stairs to her apartment and ran up them.

He blinked.

"....what?"
