"Oh man, knew I took the wrong turn in Albuquerque" the young street kid complained. Running fingers back through his Raven hair. "Dang where AM I?" he compalined looking around before his stomach knotted tightly growling. "Ah man" he groaned. "HELLO?!" he called.

"Naw, I'm the head waiter, Dog." His hazel eyes studied the boy thoughtfully.

He grinned that grin street wise smart alec kids often had "Dog? Wow really imagentive parents, got a sister called Cat?"

Dog had heard worse from the kids he'd roomed with at the Cafe. And he didn't feel like bringing up his old man's reasons for the name. "What planet ya from?"

"Planet?" he asked "Duh Earth" he rolled his eyes "More to the point I'm from Gotham so ya don't scare me ONE bit"

"Not 'duh'." Dog pointed to the nearest of the big picture windows on the outer wall. "Ya ain't on Earth now."

The boy walked over to the window before a stream of curses a boy his age shouldn't know spilled forth from his lips.

"Welcome ta the far end 'a the Valley 'o the Queens," said Dog dryly, picking dirty plates off a nearby table.

"Is this like some freaky kidnapping brain trick? Cause I've seen the joker and he is SO wack"

"Door's over there." Dog nodded.

He looked at him before poking him in the chest "Whats your angle? There a gang of thugs out there just waiting to beat on me? Well I ain't falling for it I'm staying RIGHT Here" he said arms folding across his chest.

Dog looked down at the hand as it poked him, then turned his calm gaze to the boy.

"Suit yerself," he said as he walked back toward the bar.
