"Oh man, knew I took the wrong turn in Albuquerque" the young street kid complained. Running fingers back through his Raven hair. "Dang where AM I?" he compalined looking around before his stomach knotted tightly growling. "Ah man" he groaned. "HELLO?!" he called.

"Welcome ta Logan's Place." Dog paused and looked down at him. "If ya wanna go home ya jes' turn around 'n go back through the door 'n think about it."

He looked at the man, paused then laughed. "Home? What the hell is a home?" he asked. "I ain't had one of them in years" he told him with a click glance around "You logan?"

"Naw, I'm the head waiter, Dog." His hazel eyes studied the boy thoughtfully.

He grinned that grin street wise smart alec kids often had "Dog? Wow really imagentive parents, got a sister called Cat?"

"Not even a mutant." He picked up a couple of orders and turned to bring them to their tables.

"You're not? Then what are you?" he asked studying him. "Can you fight?"

"Human. 'N not unless I gotta." He gave the people their food and a smile, then went back for more.

Dee was trailing behind him like a puppy. "Cool.......so what do you do? Just like...... wait tables?"

Dog just chuckled in friendly fashion. "The mop's in the cupboard there. Jes' wipe the floor after ya got the dishes up."

He gathered the plates up and put them aside clieaning up the mess. "Maybe I should go back to gotham"

"Want somethin' t' eat afore ya go?"

Dog wasn't trying to get rid of the boy. He just didn't want him to feel trapped or creeped out by the concern of a stranger, so he was giving him his space.

"Food? I...... I don't want to like....... you know be a charity case" he said "I'd have to work for ya cause I ain't like got money"

"There aren't many of us left." She cocked her head, pointed ears lengthening. "Dick Grayson?"

He nodded "Yeah, did you catch the show before it closed?" he asked.

"We know people from Gotham." She smiled and looked up as Dog stopped by with a buffalo wing for him.

"Oh so they saw the show?" he asked "Ever see batman? I think that maybe it's an urban legend"

"Well it makes my belly hurt t' watchya. 'N yer givin' Ben ideas."

He sighed "I'll slow down" he murmered

"Thanks." He gave him a grin, then poked his finger in Ben's mouth and took out the olive the little guy had just eaten. "Lemme git the stone out first."

"What ya mean? Didn't I say Gotham?"

"Y'know how many kids'd give their eyeteeth t' be able t' say that?" The mountain man raised one eyebrow.

"Heard somebody talkin' 'bout one the other day." Dog took the spoon as Ben handed it over and resumed feeding the little guy.

"EW!" he said "Girl me would be...EW!"

"She proly feel the same 'bout you." Dog's mouth twitched at the corner. "Fr'm what I hear she's a grown woman. Ben in Gotham since she was a little thing."
