"Marco?" called a timid young boy walking around arms out infront of him, his eyes blind folded "Marco?" he tried again. He was starting to worry he'd not heard a polo in sometime. The boy he'd been playing with, a nice boy by the name of Scottie had said this would be a fun game. He'd yet to decide how this was fun. He was scared, blinded by the blindfold, and had no idea where his new friend was. "Marco?" he tried again. Unaware Scottie was soundly asleep in a room at the lunatic cafe having lost the boy in the cantina. "Marco?" he said lip trembling. "Mar.....mar....Marco?"

She laughed again.

"You'll grow into that too," she said, roffling his hair. "Besides, the end result's good, isn't it? That version of you is really excited about having a big family."

"I....... I don't want to be a father" he murmered. "I wouldn't want to inflict my life on anyone else"

Jubilee blinked, thne scooped the kid up and started skating aorund in circles with him.

"Hush up," she said, giving him the million dollar grin. "You're a fantastic kid, Spence. And someday you'll have a kid of your own, and you'll realize that that's all you need to be happy. And then you know what'll happen?"

"I'll give them some horrid brain condition that'll mean they'll loose their minds like mum is?"

"Shh," she said, shaking her head and kissing his cheek. "No no. Of course not. You'll have kids, and they'll grow up having a genius for a daddy, and a warm, safe, loving family."

"pffft" the small boy murmered "Statisically thats highly unlikely......"

"Statistics have no merit if you don't give them any. And they only tell you about the mass. Trust me, I know the you in that picture. He and his wife Mara couldn't be happier. Period," she said skating back to the table and letting him down gently.

He looked at her "She is pretty" he said begrudgingly.

Jubilee laughed softly.

"Yes. And she was very lonely and sad before she met the older you. He saved her from herself, and gave her baby a father who'd be there for them. And now they live together with their next on the way. I don't think I've seen a happier family in all my years."

"Well nice for him but not me" he said firmly.

"I give you ten years before you fall completely and utterly in love, twenty till you marry the woman of your dreams," she grinned, ruffling his hair. "And that Spencer is you, sweetie. Just older."

He wrinkled his nose "How much do you want to bet at what odds?"

She grinned.

"I don't bet on love, kiddo, and neither should you. But I can't wait to say 'I told you so' someday."

"You won't get too" he said firmly "I won't risk handing on a genetic flaw"

"I'm a genetic flaw, it didn't hurt me. You're fine, and your counterpart's fine," she said simply.

"Mum's not" he said softly.

She fell silent, then finally picked him up again and gave him a big hug.

"That doesn't mean you won't be," she said softly, stroking his hair.

He returned her hug, snuggling against her. "I hope so"

She smiled, then looked up as Hank gave her a curious look.

"I want one," she mouthed to him.

Hank's eyes rolled in the back of his head, and he collapsed with a tremendous thud, which made Jubilee giggle.

The sound of a thud made him jump spin around, see a blue man and scream.

Jubilee started, then hugged him tighter.

"Easy! Easy, Spence, it's ok! It Hank McCoy, the Beast. He's just my boyfiend," she said quickly, holding him. "Shh, it's ok Spence, he's a teddy bear!"

"THAT'S GONNA EAT ME!!!!!!!!!!!"

"No no no!" she couldn't help but laugh, carrying him over and rolling Hank over, making the boy moan and slowly look up. Then he started awake with a cry at the boy's scream.

"He's just a guy, a normal guy, covered in blue fur!" Jubilee said, showing him.

"What?" Hank looked helpless and afraid.

Spence screamed again trying to squirm free and away "HE'LL EAT ME! ARGH!" he screamed.

"Hank, help," the girl grunted.

Hank looked scared, but slowly came forward.

"I don't eat little kids," he said, then blinked and hit a button on his watch, suddenly loosing all fur and looking like a normal, redheaded teenager who was scared to death.

"See?" Jubilee grunted, working very hard to not drop the kid.
