Dueling Daughters and a Nervous Uncle

"That's not fair!" Tiji growled, throwing herself to the side, but still unable to dislodge the warrior girl off her back. Both girl stumbled through the Cantina doorway, tumbling to the floor in a heap, nly to freeze and look up.

"Huh?" Tiji said, looking around as Laka let go and got to her own feet, helping her cousin up as they looked around.

"Girls!" Atton stumbled in right after them, looking both ashen and red with breath shortness. He blinked, then sighed. "Great. Now what?"

"It's a cantina, like the other one, but different," Tiji looked around.

"Oh... well, alright. Don't wrestle in here," Atton said, taking a deep breath and nearly sprinting fr the bar.

Laka rolled her eyes, and Tiji smirked.

"Let's find some boys," she said eagerly. Laka gave her a look of utter contempt, but allowed herself to be dragged out of her uncle's eyesight.

"We lived on the street for a long time before our Olds found us," said Frank. "We know the walls. Besides, having a girl actually pay attention to us instead of walking away...." His eyes twinkled and she could feel his amusement at self.

"You don't understand. Mom said Laka spoke five words to Uncle Canderous, once, and he's her adopted father and hero. She spends all her time with him. And she just talked to your brother twice after five minutes. That's not normal for her," she said, looking pleased.

There was a whoop of triumph from the terrace, followed by a yelp and laughter, and Frank grinned. "Sweet!"

Then his eyes strayed back to the movie. "Oh, here's the party."

She turned her attention back, and smirked.

"That looks like the kind of place Atton'd like to be," she said.

"Hobbiton?" He grinned absently at another whoop, this one of surprise, then made a soft 'aww' sound at a shot of a curly-haired little hobbit child reaching up onto a table for more to put on her plate.

She laughed and shoko her head.

"A party with beer and food," she said, grinning.

"Ah, yeah. It looks like fun. Though we'd have to skip the beer unless we wanted to give the Old a stroke."

"Yeah. My parents would have fits too," she laughed. "Still, we have to get in trouble some times, wouldn't we? Otherwise they're start inventing stuff to pin on us."

"Oh, we're in trouble anyway for taking off on the Old. But he really needs to get out of the house."

"Yeouch!" came through the terrace doors.

"Laka lost," Tiji smirked.

Frank sniggered and watched Bilbo disappear at the end of the party.

Then he looked down at her. "So you have your parents and an uncle?"

"Mom, Dad, six uncles, three aunts, two big sisters, two cousins, and a couple androids," she smiled. "But some of them live on a few different worlds, so they don't live with us."
